Uncle Sam’s Corndogs
Authentic American Street Food in London
Personal Company - Co-Founder & Lead POS Developer
Uncle Sam's Corndogs Case Study
Uncle Sam's Corndogs combines brand building, street-food operations, and custom software. Alongside the public-facing food brand, I built a point-of-sale workflow to support ordering, kitchen visibility, admin control, and sales reporting.
Problem
Fast-moving market and festival service needs clear ordering, quick payment handoff, reliable ticket visibility, and enough sales insight to make operational decisions after each event. Off-the-shelf tools can be limiting when a small food business needs a lightweight workflow tailored to its menu and service style.
Role
As Co-Founder and Lead POS Developer, I worked across software, operations, brand identity, and digital content. My engineering focus was the custom POS system; my marketing focus was helping the brand show up consistently online and on-site.
Architecture
- Order Flow: A Flask interface captures orders and sends them to a ticket-board style workflow for kitchen visibility.
- Data Layer: Supabase stores order data persistently for review and reporting.
- Admin Tools: PIN-protected screens support order review, editing, deletion, multi-delete actions, and date filtering.
- Reporting: Sales charts, item breakdowns, hourly order trends, and CSV export support post-event analysis.
- Payments: SumUp integration supports contactless payment flow from the POS interface.
Stack
Flask, Supabase, PostgreSQL-backed data storage, SumUp integration, admin dashboard design, CSV export, and social-first brand content production.
Media
The project page includes POS screenshots such as POSHome.jpg and POSStats.jpg, plus brand and market photography in the media gallery.
Outcome / Impact
The project demonstrates software built close to real operations: order management, admin tooling, reporting, payment flow, and brand execution all serving the same business. Claims are kept qualitative and tied to observable product functionality rather than unsupported revenue metrics.
