Smart Cleanup Case Study
Smart Cleanup is a community cleanup app concept created for GSC HACXMAS. The project focuses on making local cleanup activity easier to understand, coordinate, and present through a clear digital product direction.
Problem
Community cleanup efforts often depend on scattered messages, informal planning, and limited visibility into where help is needed. The product challenge was to frame a simple app experience that could help residents and organizers move from awareness to action.
Role
As Lead Developer, I was responsible for shaping the app concept into a coherent digital workflow, prioritizing the core user journey, and presenting the project as a practical community tool.
Architecture
- Community Reporting: The concept centers on identifying areas that need cleanup attention.
- Organizer Flow: Cleanup activity can be structured around clear tasks, locations, and next steps.
- User Experience: The product direction keeps the interface approachable for volunteers and community members.
- Branding: The existing logo asset gives the project a recognizable identity for presentation and future build-out.
Stack
Rapid product prototyping, community workflow design, mobile-first UX planning, and visual identity development.
Media
The page includes the Smart Cleanup logo asset in the project feature area.
Outcome / Impact
Smart Cleanup is positioned as a civic-tech product concept that demonstrates problem framing, user-flow thinking, and leadership in turning a community challenge into a structured digital solution.
